What about security?

Does it work offline?
OpenClaw requires an internet connection to receive your messaging commands and communicate with cloud-connected devices. However, your Home Assistant instance continues to run all local automations independently. If your internet goes down, HA keeps working locally. Once connectivity restores, OpenClaw automatically reconnects and resumes remote control. For critical automations (security, climate), we recommend configuring local fallback rules in Home Assistant as a safety net.
